The intention of this chair is to suggest right position for people.?Its back is quite low to support user’s waist. The low back of the chair and a slight movement of the back enable people to maintain tension of straight spine. The back is made of birch plywood(9mm) and cut stripe shape filled with silicone inside.

Process & Manufacturing

This idea, resemble to the spine, came from experimental design in my previous module which is silicone study. I tried to find a new way to bend plywood, what is strong and safe enough to support people, which is able to be used as chair’s back.
